Hey Trauma FounderDr. Tama Lane received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and advocates for survivors of trauma and those impacted by the cycle of violence. She has worked in Chicago, New York, including Bellevue/NYU Program for Survivors of Torture, France, Israel, the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and resided in Jordan, where she treated and helped refugee survivors psychologically recover from war trauma and torture.
Dr. Lane’s professional experiences have fueled a commitment to service diverse populations affected by various life stressors and the stigma of mental illness. She has a particular interest in the effects of psychological trauma on the body and brain, trauma bonding relationships, and
developing creative and culturally-informed programs for vulnerable youth impacted by violence. Dr Lane is committed to understanding the aftermath and legacy of trauma, their social implications and the manner in which they influence and jeopardize human development, and leapfrog from one generation to the next.
